Michael Edge-Perkins is a Christchurch-born, Wellington-based artist who rarely behaves like a photographer. His contributions to this show have a theme of times or spaces being compressed into the still image, rather than isolated or extracted by the still image.

He has exhibited at Matchbox several times, including his debut solo show of psychological still lifes, These things happen in 2013. His next show at Matchbox will be in October 2015, a trio show with Jordyn O'Keeffe and Lara Gilks, exploring metaphors of land, sea and sky called The Hinterland.
